It is not necessary for anyone to judge a person’s tone or perceived quality. This is a huge win for me; after so many years of waiting for Native Instruments to update its Guitar Rig, I’m ecstatic. Guitar Rig 6 adds a lot of polish to Guitar Rig 5, but it may not be enough to make it worthwhile. Because GR6 only adds a small number of new amps and effects, you may not need to replace your existing amplifier range. The core of what I loved about Guitar Rig 5 is retained in Guitar Rig 6, and the polish is excellent. It’s a big improvement from version 5 to version 6’s clean and flat style. The AmpliTube 4 is excellent, but it can’t compete with the ease of use and interface of Guitar Rig 6 for me.
In my opinion, the Helix Native provides a superior interface, simpler routing options, and a lower price than the Guitar Rig 6. If you have a Helix pedal, you will be able to learn how this interface functions in a matter of seconds. It is far easier to modify knobs on virtual amps and pedals than it is to set a guitar amplifier tone with rows of sliders. That’s exactly what I enjoy about BIAS FX 2’s interface. The interface of the BIAS FX 2 and the Guitar Rig 6 is unmistakably different. A user bank is far more adaptable than preset saving, which can be done with a variety of preset types. At the moment, I intend to use a combination of BIASFX 2 and Guitar Rig as my primary guitar plugins.
